This Porsche 911 had a dented and cracked rear bumper corner from a low speed collision.
The first stage was to heat the bumper up to a specific temperature in order to be able to restore its natural shape without stretching the plastic.
Once this stage was complete, the crack was plastic welded and reinforced with an alluminium mesh for a permanent and durable repair.
The vehicle was then masked and a 2 component primer was applied and cured using infra red lights.
This new primer was then sanded to a flat finish ready for the base coat and lacquer to be professionally applied.
Once the final coat of lacquer had been cured, any minor dust particles were removed and then machine polished back to a high gloss.
The total time for this repair was approximately 4 hours.
